The Easiest Way to Amp Up Your OC Skills

Join me in London May 15 & 16

This spring members of the OpenClinica community are converging on London to learn, share, and collaborate with each other. I invite you to be a part of this event!

OC23 – Opening Doors to Data is an opportunity for data managers, clinical programmers, and clinical operations leaders who are using or considering using OpenClinica to learn how to get your job done easier, faster and better than ever. We’ll spend our time together working directly creating studies, building and optimizing forms, and getting comfortable with all the new features, enhancements and functionality you’ve come to expect from OpenClinica.

In addition to hands-on examples and instruction, we’ll explore how new sources and modalities of data are changing how we carry out research, and how OpenClinica can accelerate your digital transformation. You’ll hear about modules and features like Unite (EHR-EDC integration), Participate (electronic Patient Reported Outcomes), Consent (electronic Consent) and our new data pipeline tools, and learn how they are being put into use to get more complete, higher quality data in more automated ways than ever before. The agenda is jam-packed with case-studies and hands-on sessions across a spectrum of topics including:

  • Automated calendering & workflows
  • E-consent & multi-media content for remote and in-person participants
  • Embedded dashboards to ease reporting burden
  • Adjudication examples
  • How to improve enrollment and retention
  • EHR integration — say so long to SDV
  • OpenClinica as a safety data management tool
  • Getting to SDTM

There’s nothing quite like learning from real-world practitioners. The program includes special sessions created by users for users. They’ll share what works on the ground, what to plan for, and best practices they’ve developed.

OC23 – our first face-to-face gathering since the pandemic – continues the long heritage of in-person OpenClinica user conferences dating back to the emergence of the OpenClinica open source community many years ago. Thirteen years ago in fact – I remember needing to leave early from the first OC conference because my wife had just delivered our twins.

I look forward to seeing new and old friends May 15 – 19 in London!
